Enclosed

Dazed.  Neon lights and the euphoric music settled gradually on me as they turned into graceful moths and enchanting fireflies. The glaring crimson strands and strands of silk made of the beautiful creatures wrapped me into a dome shape cocoon. It was dark, pitch dark. Thoughts are running through my mind as the treadmill’s speed increases and increases…  Oxygenated water engulfed me it gushes through the tiny hole at the bottom of the cocoon. I gasped for help but to no avail. I was asphyxiating. The water level is at my neck, at my nose and then finally over my head. It’s a silent struggle. My fists are clenched and my leg muscles are tensed.  I want to break free but I could not. Shortly, my whole body felt numb and at the same time, I had a sensation as though a thousand needles are injected into me one by one. I guess it is not the right time for me to see the world yet.  Endurance and persistence are the two companions that I must have in order to cross this hurdle of flame. No one will be there for me…

Back to square one

Extremism. It has been a few months since i last made a journal entry on a blog. In this entry, i will show the feelings i had… The Sun was shining bright today, blinding my eyes and causing them to squint. Suddenly, a deafening alarm vibrated into my eardrums, causing them to be on the brink of bursting. When the clouds had covered the sun’s unsympathetic rays for a moment, what’s in front of me was a whole lot of students crowding at the field, turning their bodies in unease as the intense heat had scorched their backs and necks. Out of the blue, a loud blast came from the walkway between the stretch of noticeboards. Everyone’s eyes are transfixed on the shadowy figure limping out slowly…and gradually. A taste of blood and grudge lingered in the deafening tranquility as a black glove holding a desert eagle protruded out of the dark abyss…

Responsibility

Responsibility is Accountability: the state, fact, or position of being accountable to somebody or for something. Moral responsibility can refer to two different but related things. First, a person has ‘moral responsibility‘ for a situation if that person has an obligation to ensure that something happens. Responsibility is also the authority to act: authority to take decisions independently. If someone is responsible for something, he or she must own up and have the courage to face the consequence of his action. Every action you make, you will have a consequence to face and a responsibility to bear. For instance, if you cannot resist the temptation of stealing and reached out a hand for the wallet on the table. Think again. The responsibility you have to bear if you were to steal that wallet is a jail sentence and your reputation tarnished. Another example would be a mother and a son. A special bond had been formed between a mother and a child since birth; hence the mother should have the responsibility to bring up the child until he is able to feed himself. She is accountable to the infant’s welfare. Lack of responsibility from the mother would result in her dumping the child and leave him in the lurch. The consequence is that she will have a guilt-stricken life from then on. Thus, before you do an action, think to prevent any regrets in life. ‘O’ levels, which are round the corner, is pressurizing us as time management between CCA and academically would be a difficult problem unless he or she knows how to manage his or her time almost to perfection. If not, it is almost impossible to excel in all areas. The mentality of scoring good grades is always lingering in everyone’s minds, so strong that we would do anything to achieve the means, even with the help of underhand methods. Cheating. Many students would decide to resort to cheating as an easy way out to score good grades to appease his or her parents and teachers. The action is wrong but we need immense willpower to not succumb to this temptation, sometimes addiction. The consequence, if caught, is caning by the discipline master and banned from taking the exams for one year. Regret will surely engulf that student for life and accompanies him like a permanent scar on the heart. The responsibility is to account for his own mistake and learn from it, pick himself up and continue with life. This is provided that he has the courage to overcome the fear and guilt after the incident. I hope that responsibility and self-discipline will be the key values of my life.

Pride

It was dark and cold.  The smell of fear filled the black room.  Silent .  Silent as though it was a cemetery.  I was shivering, with my tremulous hands gripping on to myself.  Nervousness engulfed me as footsteps could be heard.  “Pump, Pump” went the sound as my heartbeat were synchronised with the footsteps.  I went faster, faster and faster, and … “Bang” the door swing open.

The ray of light dawned on me.  It was my turn.  The effort I had put in was bound to result in a good performance.  However, the cold that I had caught that morning made my heart sink.  The crew ushered me out with a wave of his big and rough hands.  The cheers and roars of the crowd frightened me.  The pungent smell of excitement drowned the whole theatre, could not think much but to finish this performance and go home.  The alley was dark but the lights guided me.  The echoes of the crowd punched me and gave me goosebumps.  The smell was getting longer.

The first step of my foot landed on the stage of kaleidescope colours. The thousands of spectators appalled me with their numbers.  I could not help but have the thought of giving up.  Suddenly, the theatre went dark.  The ray of spotlight shone on me.  The smell of peace and calm breezed past as the enchanted melody flowed in.  The lights changed from a bright red to an azure blue.  The ambience was just so magical.  The audience seemed gone and I was performing for myself.

I uttered a tune and it sounded so magical as if a miracle had happened.  I swayed to the melody and sang.  I saw no one but clouds drifting in the sky and I was flying.

The melody stopped and the azure blue sky changed into the raging and excited crowd once more.  The lights all went red, bright red.  The crowd’s cheer signified that I gave a good performance.  Pride was in me and the smell of pride filled my nose.  I was glorified.

Journal Entry(Week 27)The Pinnacle

The climbers reached their destination, in awe of the magnificent mountain tops. The steepness and wet ground made the climb arduously dangerous. The prodigy of the team did not succumb to the obstacles but signaled his team to move on, before it gets dark. They had their equipments ready and prepared to ascend. Black specks could be seen from afar in the white mountains. They persevered and did not give up, as they continue to increase their altitude. Inches away from their goal and the leader of the team rooted his feet on the snow firmly with his hiking boots. His teammates followed as they celebrated with exultation. They had finally culminate the pinnacle. In retrospect, the hard work that they had put in for this exhibition paid off. The breath-taking scenery will be etched in their minds till eternity.

Journal Entry(Week 26)The Battle

Two candidates were chosen for the Chairman’s position-Kelly and Mark. Mark is acute in seeing things, has vogue,  is cogent and knows how to capture the gist of everything. Kelly however is lethargic, remiss, thus Mark has an aversion towards Kelly and often rebuke her for her attitude. Mark is, in the contrary, not a popular candidate as he is scheming and has bad relationships with his colleagues. It is a tussle for the both of them. The results are  out and KELLY is the  winner! This left Mark being hostile and quited this job. Kelly worked hard and her company was the best in the world now………….
